Mammut Assist

For climbing teams with a significant weight difference, this belay device provides the solution. The lightweight device attaches to the first quickdraw and increases rope friction, allowing a lighter belayer to absorb and hold the weight of a heavier lead climber. Thanks to its patented cam design, the resistance is only activated during falls or lowering, and the rope is never completely locked. Instead, the device enables smooth rope management, a soft landing, and optimizes dynamic belaying. With the Mammut Assist Belay Resistor, new routes can be climbed safely.
